Location: Perryville, MO | If Matt from Llungen comes along I'd listen to what he has to say.
Two ways of looking at it. Some guys choose to beef up their hooks on rattlebaits. Others are confident in 1/0's and ensuring the bait puts out has much vibration as possible. |

ps - I saw in a Tony article the idea of putting one treble on the front hook spot, then he second treble on the top ring of the bait; leader goes to the back hook spot. He said it makes travel over weeds and logs a bit easier since you can yo-yo it.May have to try that. hmmm. m |

Location: SE, WI. | If you’re fishing a 1/2 oz. bass size trap around weeds, I used 1 treble, middle hook, #2 triple grip eagle claw! Never thought I needed 2 trebles on this bait. Came through weeds excellent. Hookup excellent! If you’re using a musky size trap, try again 1 treble, KVD round bend, or triple grip in either 2/0, or 3/0 depending on balance of lure. Many different baits out there, so not sure specifically what bait you will be using. JD |

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota | I picked up some of the chaos tackle black trident hooks and am super impressed with them. Super strong and super sharp right out of the box which isn’t always the case. They make them as small as 1/0 so should be small enough at least for the larger baits. If your going to be replacing your hooks replace the split rings too with owner hyper wire rings, i have never had one fail on me even in the small sizes |

Location: Land of the Musky | I 2nd the Chaos hooks but they are out of stock. I am sure Chaos just pulled them for the musky shows and they will be listed back in stock soon...
