Anyone see the lunar eclipse tonite on the full moon? WOW.
When I came out of the woods it was starting, it looked like somone took a bite out of the full moon. When the moon rose it was full and round. Now about 7:45 pm (EST) it is almost gone but you can still see the entire moon sort of.

Did anyone fish tonite? Possible effects? Deer are in full rut here and bucks are running like crazy. Still trying here. Got the freezer doe but want more antlers too.

Yes the eclipse is cool!  I was out fishing until about 5PM, should have stayed another hour, but fingers were useless.  Only fish I saw today was chasing something on the surface, I made 2 casts and it hit the drop belly.  I horsed it in because it didn't fight much, then when it got to the boat I seen it was a mid 40 inch fish and that is when it decided to go nuts and help me with a very quick release.  Would have been nice to land it, but it still made going out in the cold worth it today.

Yes, believe it had a big effect on the critters. There were deer moving all over this aft. Did manage to get an arrow in a brute tonight, will go looking for it tomorrow. Wrote an excited report about it on the message board at WalleyeFirst.

Here are some barely visible pictures of the eclipse.

Full moon rose as the sun set and the fish really moved for us as that happened. Caught 2, two on and two rips just in a half our time frame. It shut down before the eclipse.

What I did notice about the eclipse is that it caused people not to have a very steady gas pedal. If I had a dollar for every moron that passed me tonight and slowed down in front of me, I would not have to goto work monday.
