Does anyone know what 9'6" rod Jim was using to throw bucktails with. It is not the same as the old compre series he was using last year.

The app they were showing looks pretty good. Has anyone been using it?

I used it. You can watch all of season 13 on it, and since I don’t have tv that’s nice. I’m interested to use it for the biometrics next season. It’s a nice app.

It appears the app is for I-Phone only. I did not see an android version in the app store.

PM returned.

Jim spent a lot of time on the app making sure it ticks the right boxes. I think it will be a good tool for all levels of angler.

The musky hunter on my channel was a rerun from last year. Tamarack Muskies instead of what should have been Biometrics. Disappointing.

I have the app on my android and found it in Play Store. I think I will find it very useful. It is well designed, very intuitive and brings a lot of info that is available separately all in one place in easy visual formats. A tool/info to complement how you fish.

Biometrics???  REALLY??? 300,000 Scenarios??? C-ON- MAN!!!

Haters gonna hate I guess. Sure a lot of it is stuff an advanced angler does intuitively BUT not everyone is advanced. It puts a ton of info in one place and helps bring the important pieces together for people to learn and advance their own skills. What is wrong with that...and it's free.

Little hard to understand why anyone would have an issue with a free app that may be of interest to others, even if they see no value to themselves. I plan on checking it out.

Spent a half hour looking at it this afternoon as it is now I don't think it is anything I would use. Some may find the log useful. I kept a log for a number of years and found all fish came from wet places on days ending in "Y" Because I got up at 3:30 am to go to work now I'm retired I find I prefer to sleep in and fish the last 2 hours of daylight.

Pretty easy to dismiss anything new as unnecessary, especially as one passes the 70 mark. And, I also get a bit miffed at how hard it is for four adult children (8 with spouses) to keep their face out their phones for Thanksgiving dinner, ferchrisesakes! But, because it’s Saric, and he doesn’t do anything not first class, I downloaded the thing, it looks good and easy to navigate, and I am going to try it. It’s hard enough to stay out there, I’m committed to trying anything new that might net a few more fish before I croak!

I asked my grand daughter to get me a newspaper.
"Oh, grandpa, you're so old fashioned; here, use my cell phone!"

So I smashed her phone against the wall and killed that big spider! m

Make sure to turn off the silent mode button on the phone.

Just watched the St. Claire trolling episode. Your crazy for not having a PFD on in those rollers, even with warmer water temps.

Is the show still on World Fishing Network? I have not seen new episodes or reruns in quite a while.

No, Jim dropped WFN. It sucks because I have Dish Network and they are feuding with the sports networks.

Where can you watch new episodes? Preferably on Tv(smart). Not a big fan of watching stuff on a smartphone.

Anyone? I have Sling and mainly for the purpose to be able to watch Musky Hunter I subscribed to so called Heartland extra package, which includes Wfn. Not a big fan of hunting so basically that's the only channel I watch. Before it used to have 3 musky oriented shows, Musky Hunter, Fishing with Joe Bucher, and my favorite Simply Fishing with Bob Mehsikomer. Simply Fishing is long gone and two others I have not seen in several months. Is Wfn hq based in Minnesota and trying not to promote those ungodly toothy critters eating all the walleye?! Yeah there are sporadic shows like The Next Bite or the Angling Edge but that just doesn't cut the mustard. And what happened to the fresh water whatever the day was, which had several hours of musky content in a row. Also don't have access to NBC Sports Chicago which I guess is the only channel that airs Musky Hunter in Chicago area.

It was already mentioned, but just to make sure that you got the reply:

The volume will not work on the videos if you phone is on silent mode. You need to manually turn your volume on. If you have an iphone, the little lever on the top left hand side of your phone can be toggled between silent mode an volume.

I had the same problem when I first started using the app. I flick of the swirtch and the volume work.

For someone who has to balance time on the water with a young family like me, the app is great. When up at the cottage this summer, I will plan on getting out when the app tells me, provided the times are not trumped by the weather.

Biometrics, baby! Pretty soon we won't even have to think. That cell phone will tell you everything to do. Just keep in in your hand. Maybe someone will develop a cell phone holder that attaches to your rod??

Progress is progress. An app that puts all the info together for prime fishing can only help. You can choose to or not to use it.
