I suspect there have been previous projects similar to this but I thought I would post a few pics anyway. Like most my tackle box is footlocker proportions and full. Besides needing some space I am tired of having to pull a bucktail out of the slot to see exactly what it is; hence the clear box. Box is an $11 gasketed box, with a rubber liner on bottom and two 1 x 2 rail covered with pipe insulation.

That's pretty slick, and probably cost less than $10 to make.

Very nice. I like this a lot better than the milk crate, down spout box I made for rubber, other long baits. And the clear box is a great way to see the baits, as you mention.
