Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I have a theory there, too. Seems that as the muskie season ends, a muskie angler's fancy turns more to the fairer gender; which POSSIBLY was not the primary focus during the muskie season. (possibly??) Where there isn't a severe winter and lots of ice, or a closed muskie season, the family additions are spread out across the calendar more evenly, supporting this idea at least a little. |

| LOL,
Good observation John! Having raised my family, and now with grandkids (which I get to send home after feeding them gobs of sweets)I wish all of you new parents nothing but the best! Even though my wife and I cannot have any more children, we still practice alot!
Congrats to all of you!

Location: Ogden, Ut | Interesting theory, but it doesn't explain me (always an outlier in the data, isn't there). We have no muskie shows out here in Utah, come to think of it, even beer is hard to find...

Location: Algonquin, ILL | Sorenson: Ogden is roughly the same lattitude as Chicago and roughly the same distance as a round trip from Chicago to LOTW so in the cosmic scheme of life it still all works out with both Steve's and my theory.
The only remaining problem is the shortage of suds and musky's
LOBI: Simple answere for your variation, You just got back from a week long fishing trip Due in April = Return from Trip in July

Location: Ogden, Ut | Good point, JohnMD...but our muskie season never closes out here (just our boating season due to ice). You would have to mention that I'm nearly as close to Chicago as LOW is...is there beer there too? hehehe

| I think what is going on is obvious and more sinister. Honey, do you want to? Musky fisherman thinks for a moment, counts 9 months ahead and realizes the end of November would be a dandy time to stay close to home for a few months. The opener rolls around next spring and you say" I haven't fished in almost a half year" Ingenious. |

Location: Minneapolis, MN | I think the theory depends a lot on how much you fish during the "season". I was on the water 70 days last year. Didn't leave much time for our two ships to cross paths in the night until the "season" was over. |

You can have sex anytime, so fishing comes first.
