Location: Lafayette, IN | Swap out a '04 200 Merc EFI (good runner) for a 2014 Opti 115 (only 55 hrs and I already own it). Gonna be on an "04 Ranger 620. Don't care if it runs 50mph. Looking for fuel economy and reliability. Give me some feedback please.

| Don't do it...not enough motor for that boat...very under powered will give you poor performace and poor gas millage... |

Location: oswego, il | I have a 1750 crestliner with a 115 Opti. I notice a huge difference in getting on plane by adding a third adult who is usually up around 3 bills. You would notice cutting your HP almost in half. |

| Seems a little light on horsepower for that boat. Actually, a lot light. I wouldn't do it if I were you.
You may want to talk to a dealer about that. Maybe a jack plate would help it out, but really I think you should be at 225 HP minimum for that boat. |

Location: Lafayette, IN | Thanks for the input guys. All thoughts confirm what I was feeling but wanted to ask anyway. Can't let my pride get in the way of hearing the truth. Enjoy your Thanksgiving! BTW, Todd M, the ol' Tracker still looks pretty good for a 25 year old boat. She's been all over the midwest from Tennessee to Canada. The Pro XS makes it even nicer! I'm thinking a full windshield for my sweet wife of 35 years which is why I'm considering an old 620. Love that floor plan and front deck size! Just hate the thought of giving up that new motor. We'll figure it all out this winter. Makes the time pass until next spring. Take care everyone!

Location: Lafayette, IN | 620 walk thru. I haven't bought one. Only considering it. Early 2000's. Probably '02 - '04. Also considering Lund 19 or 20' Pro V IFS. Love those too. Large casting deck compared to other deep-v configurations. Again, early 2000's. The older models may not have some of the performance of the new designs but I'm only interested in floor plan. Keeps me at my price point too. Must have's: large casting deck, walk thru windshield, seat bases for at least 4. Looked at a lot of other companies but keep coming back to these two models. I know they are vastly different, especially at the stern, but both give me the essential options I'm looking for and I like their looks too (for what it's worth.) |

| Nothing worse than a Underpowered boat... That boat needs minimum of 200---and that is even a stretch.... 225-250 is what is needed for that rig.... I have a 2018 115 Merc PRO XS on my 1750 crestliner---works fine for 2 guys--- add a 3rd and its questionable at best...… The boat you are talking about is 900lbs heavier than my boat-- I don't think a 115 would even plane it off... |
