Is it cool to run your depth finders off one the TM 12V batteries you have hooked up w/ another 12V battery to create a 24V current for the TM (trolling motor)?

Tom,

If you are running your depth finder off the same battery that you are running your trolling motor you are going to get a TON of interference and it will not work properly.

Hate to ever question the Ralphie....but I did run both a depthfinder and a tm to one battery, but dont know if this applies to what you are thinking of. I didnt have any problems with interference, just my experience.

yea, i understand about the interference...sometimes is Bad bad and horrible. other i have seen run w/o any interference.

But, i what i really meant to ask is, "will i fry a depth finder because it might get zapped w/ 24 volts or anthing weird like that?"

i assume it wouldnt', but just want to check.

As long as you only go across one battery, you won't fry anything.
