I am looking for a boat that I can cast for muskies out of and maybe do a little trolling. Also need it to take the family out and enjoy some time on the water. I have done some research and I know there will be some compromises compared to my fiberglass bass boat I fish out of now. My budget is 30k max. I would like a new or like new pre owned boat.

Hiya,

I would think a Ranger Reatta would do well, as would a Lund Tyee or similar design in either. Both I believe will have a front deck and plenty of seating behind the full windshield. I would think there are some larger boats out there that would have front seating and are convertible to a front casting deck by removing the cushions and adding a deck extension piece, but i have not been able to find one on a quick search. Will keep looking though for brand and model...

Take a look at a Lund Crossover as well.

If you can find a Ranger Reata 1850 that fits your budget and is well
maintained, go for it. It’s the best family/fishing boat there is in my opinion. I have one and we love it!

Yep, agree with above. Ranger Reatta for a glass boat; Lund Crossover if you go aluminum. Both fit your described needs.
