Location: Illinois | The stern of my 2001 Tracker Pro Angler seems to sit too low in the water, taking out the gas tank doesn't make a difference. The boat does take on water but the bilge pump takes care of it. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Location: Illinois | There are three batteries in the stern. I was thinking about moving them, but I thought since they were put there by default in the factory that is where they are supposed to be.

Location: Athens, Ohio | I have an old '78 BassTracker. I identified where the leaks were and used a Sharpie to mark them, then took a buffing wheel on my drill to shine them up and dabbed them with a good mix of JB Weld. Worked wonders. That may stop the flow but doesn't solve your stated problem. m |

Location: Northern Illinois | I'd move the trolling motor batteries forward. Most modern fishing boat designs have them forward of the console. A side benefit is the batteries lose less power due to resistance in the wiring. |

This doesn't look too bad overall. My alumacraft sat this way when I had my kicker on it as well. I would agree with RLSea that if you can move your trolling motor battery forward to the front with a little rewiring (given it is possible to do so) this would help as well.
Once you put someone up front for fishing it shouldn't be as pronounced, and, with the extra weight on the transom from the kicker, you should be able to trim up using less trim from the motor overall with quicker results at the bow. Makes for a more efficient rig.
