| Lets here those stories of the monster that keeps you coming back to the same lake/spot. The one that frequents dreams. Have you caught her yet? How many different occasions have you seen her?

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I had a big girl on Wabigoon in '90 to '94, got her in '95, she was what I thought she was, in the low 50# class. I have another I am chasing now that is ALOT bigger. We will see! I am obsessed...She ate an Undertaker two Julys ago, TWICE, and I lost her both times on a jump. Didn't see her this year, but I know where she lives and will haunt her until she shows herself again |

| My story will pale by comparison but anyway. We are fishing a steep drop on the Chip and I happen to look down to watch my buddies bagley come from the deep when a big head appears and it is straight up and down, the mouth opens but everyone is out of room the bagley is at the surface and so is the fish, she just turns back down to where she came from. There was a 18" sucker floating around the boat but the fish did not return. The fish was probably in the 50" range. The fish was just too vertical to do anything with. Took my breath away, I just stood there cussing. I had an adult beverage after that. My buddy didn't say a damn thing, he just stared at me for about 5 minutes. We drank a lot that night and called it a day. |

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | Mine is not as big as Steve's, and obviously isn't big enough to make his Moby list, but it is a bruiser nonetheless. In fact he is the one that first told me about this fish. All I saw was it's great big shovelhead as it T-boned a sucker Sunday at dusk. It bit off a 100# flouro sucker rig on the hookset. This fish will have me on the water in very cold temps this weekend, without flourocarbon this time. |
