| Where do the ugliest musky reside? Is there a region , lake or strain that produces blotchy, ugly fish in general? I've seen pics of some pretty ugly catfish like specimens and wondered where it is from. |

Location: 31 | There's no such thing as an ugly muskie... okay maybe when they are chewed up from spawning.

| some dark flowage/river fish i've seen in WI are dark, and not all that "pretty". A muskie is a muskie, but some are much better looking than others. |

Location: Eastern Ontario | I have the prize winner caught by Hosser in Rice l. On. while we were jigging for spring walleye had a shortened upper jaw, the scales were falling off like snow blood was visible through the skin ONE SICK PUPPY. Fish should probably been destroyed but regulations are regulations and it was released to die. The amazing thing to me is this fish was still actively feeding. I sent pictures an MNR bio and to Dr. Bruce Tufts at Queens University who with Dr John Cassleman determined it was infected with a rare disease with a name containing about 72 letters. Unfortunately I have since deleted the text and cant share the name. Not knowing how to post pictures or get them from phone to computer I can not share but I could text them to anyone willing to post. |

St. Clair?
I have never fished St Clair and probably never will but photos I have seen of fish caught there appear to be very similar to the Great Lakes muskies friends have caught on Green Bay. Is that not the case? Just curious. |

Location: oswego, il | I have caught some beautiful fish on lsc, spotted and tigers. Caught some Wisconsin clear river strain too that were gorgeous. I have caught fish from everywhere that were ugly. Always been an individual fish deal. |
