| I've stayed at Anderson's Cove in steamboat bay. It was nice and affordable. Kind of a long run to the other side of the lake though. |

Location: Ames, Iowa | What amenities are you looking for? Want a pool? Do you want meals served there? Or are you just looking for a less expensive place to sleep after being on the lake all day? If you have done some research you might find the part of the lake you want to fish- the main basin or Walker Bay area. I'm on the east side of the lake with a place near the Brevik access, on the Pikedale Lodge property. I've heard there used to be upwards of 70 resorts on Leech. Maybe there is a dozen and a half now. |

Location: Ames, Iowa | Huddles gets you nearest Pipe Island and Pelican Island and the Red Rocks- lots of rocks. Agency Bay lodge gets you right on Agency Bay, Agency Narrows, Walker Bay, Grandview Flats, the Walker Narrows- lots of weeds. East side of the lake like Pikedale gets you nearest Bear Island, Pelican Island and the North Bar and Headquarters Bay- weeds and rocks though HQ and Bear don't have nearly the reputation that Agency and the Flats have. |
