I dont do a hole lot of night fishing this time of year so I got a Q for ya all.
on days like today, warm in the mid 60's and its suposed to get down into the mid 40's tonight. would it be worth my wile to go out after dark and through top water or drag a sucker? will the fish move out into deeper water or will they be shallow? it is the begining of the new moon phase.

happy hunting

Duck,,,

If you do try it I would suggest a very slooooow moving topwater, Hawgwobbler or similar...even better a Boo-Tail or bucktail cranked just fast enough to keep the blade moving.

By no means a high percentage game but you could score a big girl.

I burned one about an hour ago (1/2 hour after dark) on a Boo-tail. Water temps were 54 degrees, air temp about the same or a little cooler. Only strike I had tonite, other than that I had one follow on a Slow Tease (suick style bait).
