| My dad and I just left Namakagon and what an interesting few days it was. In total, we had 11 muskie encounters. Which was quite the surprise for us. However only 1 in the boat (38.25”). 8 followers including a 50+ inch tank this morning, biggest one I’ve ever seen. So cool to see, all just turned away and only maybe 1 fish went into the 8. 2 others were hooked up and 1 lost at the boat thanks to my net man lol! Interesting part was the 1 boated and 2 hooked up were all trolling flicker shads. Don’t know what was up that one day but we had 3 muskies on them in 24 hours. The one lost at the boat happened because my reel broke and had to reel it in by hand. Quite the experience but my dad took the first shot he could at it and I wasn’t ready. Miscommunication at its finest. But definitely an interesting situation we were in! Anybody else have anything like that happen before? Quite the productive trip, glad we got 1 in the boat but wanted more! | |

Location: Naperville, IL | I’d be very interested to know where you saw the 50+, I’m going there for 9 days next month and this will be my first time on this lake.

Location: Lakeville, MN | I’ve only fished there once, 4 yrs ago on a family trip. The first night we got there, it was sunset so my brother in law and I decided to troll for walleye with Flicker Shads. No walleye, but I caught a 41” musky. I thought I snagged a tree at first. I did musky fish off and on the rest of the week but never saw another one. Go figure. I didn’t troll Flicker Shads again either, maybe I should have!
