Looking for the best Canadian musky waters for next spring. Any suggestions on hot action spring lakes.
Thanks

Spring is really my favorite time to lake hop up there. I like Thaddeus, Wabigoon, Cedar, Cliff, Canyon, and Dinorwic, all less than two hours apart. One can center in Dryden and travel from there. Don't forget Eagle, just down the road.

Sabaskong Bay on LOTW can be great in June, too. Sioux Narrows too. there isn't really a 'best' action lake in my book, just a great selection!

I like the central location aspect. What guides do you recommend in that area?
Thanks sworrall

Hi,
I agree with Mr Worrall on that being a great area for location, although I can only give experiences from one of the lakes he listed. Cedar is a really nice system with both nice northern and muskie. I would suggest just picking one and fishing hard on it. You will learn alot and most likely catch alot. You will probably see a ton of fish on cedar but converting is sometimes frustrating. Everyone of those lakes is a good choice so,
good luck

Esnagami in Ontario...whoa, I did a CPR study with the Dept. of Ministries on the survival rate of walleyes on barbed and barbless hooks a few years go....I can't begin to tell you how many pike and skis we nailed jigging.....great population of fish and a huge body of water for the big girls to hide.

Are the lakes in this area stained or gin or all the above? I just want to make sure I have different options based on weather patterns.
Thanks again gentlemen!

Muskycore,

Andy Myers Lodge just might be the place for you. It has the action lakes that you are looking for, as well as trophy waters on Eagle Lake.

With a trip to Andy Myers Lodge you have the option to go on a fly-in trip to action lakes. Other action waters include Indian and Corner. Stewart is also know for producing 20+ fish days.

As far as water clairty, Eagle is clear, Corner is stained and Indian is in-between.

You can find more out about these lakes at www.andymyerslodge.com
Feel free to also contact me at either [email protected] or call me at 419-553-6570, or 419-272-2528.

Andy Myers Lodge on the famous Eagle Lake is a great place to stay. You won't be disappointed one bit. The cabins are nice, the food is great, and the staff is second to none.

Thanks,
Mike Hulbert

I was not aware of any muskies in Esnagami. Pike, yes and numerous with some hogs. When was this study done? I sure would like to know more about it.
