I just ordered this reel and before I open the box when it arrives, I was hoping to get some opinions just in case I want to return it. Once the box is opened, spooled up and used it's mine for good.

Anyone use this reel and have any input?

are you sure you gonna like reel that fast ? personally i would not trust that brand for hard pulling lures. when it's time to bring hard pulling lure really quick you better stay whit the most trusted brand like daiwa ,shimano. ALL the others brand usually get lots of trouble when used more times than one outing per month

Not sure if it's going to hold up or not? I watched Key's outdoors and they were using this reel. I wanted something to burn Bucktails.
For big rubber I would go with the large Toro Winch I have been using. I just can't do $500 for a Tranx and I do have other Shimano reels that work fine. Wanted to try something new..

The reel will see Weekly usage + for sure.

Not interested in the Diawa reels, I have been down that road and it's bad luck or the operator with them for me.

This is why I was asking about the Concept, I don't see any reviews for this reel on the interweb..

if the guy was using it on tv then it mean just one thing. he get it for free for the reel quality it COULD be another story. imo if you don't want to invest too much money, i would buy a used one like calcutta te or lexa in an earth beat over that pumpkin reel. good luck
edit the calcutta is not the best to burn d10 but the lexa is top notch for that. i know lots of guys myself included that are using it lots of times and it'S a real tank

I picked one up and like it so far, only used it on one outing a little noisy at first but seems to have Quieted down after some use which might be normal during break in period for that type of reel since it uses friction washers instead of bearings. Casting distance is excellent I like you was unsure at first but so far so good

The reel came in yesterday, and I'm going to add line tonight. I'm going to keep this one for research purposes and see how it holds up. If it breaks then I know, if works as advertised then I have additional choices for the next addition.

Lost my net now. it flew out of the boat and I didn't see it happen. Absent minded and forgot to set it up properly for the ride to the launch. No sign of it during the re trace so someone has a nice Beckman.

Ordered the Predator XL for another change of pace. I need to have a blessing by a duly qualified musky god minister by which persons or things are sanctified as dedicated to Divine service or by which certain marks of Divine favour are invoked upon them to the muskie gods. Any ideas for that?
