| Kept a few pike yesterday after fishing and while I was filleting one of them I noticed the fish had quite a few eggs in her. How is this possible? Don’t they spawn at ice out? |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Saw muskies spawning yesterday on a local lake, and Keith saw a pair on Pelican. Crappies are full of spawn still and have not been on the beds yet.
Crazy Spring, there are frost warnings for tonight. |

Location: oswego, il | Cleaned a yellow bass last weekend here in fibland that was full of eggs. Water temps weren't even to 70 yet. My guess is that pike isn't going to spawn.and somehow missed the cycle. Was it really ugly or bijjey?

Location: Hayward, Wisconsin | Cold weather can cause pike and muskies to leave the spawning grounds and even miss the spawn. If they miss, the eggs are absorbed. |

Location: SE, WI. | Caught a musket 5/18 in a tournament. Never in 36 years have I had a musky drop eggs in May in SE WI. The 3 snowfalls in April here really set us back. Wonder if we will ever have a normal spring again:( Bass will likely spawn next Full moon coming up. Probably 10-15 days behind with everything. Fish now setting up where they should have been 2 weeks ago. Big fish should start showing up next week or 2. JD |

| There's always some fish that don't spawn for some unknown reason and will reabsorb their eggs. |

I am a fisherman and an IT that works in a company that offers cat doors which will allow your pet the freedom to come in and out of the house without you having to constantly stop what you are doing to open the door for them. I agree with you.
