One lake I fish has a bunch of small bays that are filled with wind-blown leaves. Fish this temporary structure?

I have only done it one time, and it paid off with a 39 incher on a Suick down at "The Cave".

I wouldn't say that was a pattern, just luck.
I haven't done it since then if that tells you anything.

This has worked very well as a sort of temporary sturcture,a big bladed spinnerbait just buldging right under the surface worked the best. When trying to get other baits with multipal hooks through there ends up with alot of wasted casts and big yellow leaves for trailers. The eagle-tail has also been good for a quicker mover at timz!I never pass those floating masses in fall! You just never know what lurks!

I've actually caught fish in this manner. It was usually related to other structure, but I'm sure it can't hurt. I usually find myself fishing minnow baits real erratically to keep the leaves off the hooks. This seems to get some pretty hard hits. It's definitely worth the try.
