Location: Germantown & Land O Lakes WI | Went out to Little Green Lake in Green Lake co. Saturday morning. We had one fish on and lost her. Water was suprisingly clear with a temp of about 57ยบ. If you dont get out on this 465 acre Class A by 7 am...forget it. At one point I counted 36 rigs...at 9 am!
Gorgeous day to be on the water though. |

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | Fished two lakes on Saturday, one dark water, one clear. Both lakes were in the 52-55 range. Boated nothing but moved a few fish on each lake, with more action on the clear water. All the fish were shallow, in 4-10 feet and all ot them were chasing gliders. |

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Fished Cass Lake Thursday afternoon and raised 6 fish with one supper tanker(51 to 52-inch) on a Mag Bull Dawg. Friday we moved 5 fish and one more 50 plus on a Dawg. Saturday I lost a low to mid 40's and we raised 10 others. Sunday we moved 7 fish with no hookups. Suicks and Dawgs were the best baits for us.
Water temps were in the mid 50 then fell to the low 50's by Sunday. |

Location: Lafayette, IN | Spent a beautiful fall day on Lake Monroe bassin. My 16 year old nephew did it again. Caught another trophy fish while fishing for bass. This time it was an 8 1/2 pound walleye!!! Gosh golly that thing was huge! 29 inches by 11"girth. His first walleye to boot! He hand landed it beautifully and we even got the fight and landing on video. Cool, huh? A picture will be forthcoming. I think I'll send him the link to "Walleye First" just to mess with him (heh heh).

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | Boated a 39" Tiger on the Manitowish chain Sat morning on a Mag. Dawg. Missed one other fish, and saw 2 others. The fish on the chain are feeding heavy as they are very fat! |

Location: Alexandria, MN | I moved a 44, 52 and had a low 40" fish jump clear out of the water, jaws snapping, trying to grab my bait. Went back to a figure 8 and never saw her again. I did boat a nice 44" Pike -- But she was an old fish and had no girth. The wind and rain Saturday hit hard, just after that explosive, water clearing, strike. Spoke to others that had a quick window of activity at the same time. About 2pm.
Still a lot of great fishing to be had. |

Location: So. Illinois | Took my son out for a little father - son bonding. He caught a shorty as we were both teaching ourselves how to twitch - Jerk a Believer. The ugliest fish we have caught this year, had a strange defect to its back, looked like it had a hump and a slight twist to the back. Kid has out-fished me everytime I have taken him out this year.

Location: oswego, il | Took two of my three kids to a private bass lake by my house. They caught a bunch of bluegills and used up all the wax worms. Got the oars and got in the rowboat and I caught a nice bass. Was kind of windy and we did not say out long, hard to position the boat with no motor. |

I fished the Severn Sound Area of Georgian Bay again this weekend. Didn't to too bad. I got a 42 X 17 and a 41 X 17 both came on Renny Baits 13 inch Shoal Shocker trolling. Lost a real nice fish casting a BullDawg too not sure how big it was but it was forsure a nice fish, didnt get a look at it. Fished Couch on Monday and my buddys father boated a nice thick 48 X 22 trolling a Grandma. Hope this cold weather that is coming this week doesn't turn them off too much for next weekend we'll see....

Location: north central wisconsin | I lost a fat fish in the 45"range on Friday on a Bobbie bait that grabbed the head of the lure and shook loose. It did leave me a souveneer though, a nice big tooth in the top of the bait. Fished the WI river Sat, Sun, and yesterday before of after work and saw nothing.

| Fished from shore this weekend. got some nice fish jumping on and around a jackpot. landed about 15 fish on shrimp. Trout, Sheephead, Drum, Tripletail, Flounder. i was florida bound..no muskies, but those saltwater fish love it on top. Jack pots kick butt in the Gulf and i'd imagine if i would have rented a boat i could have tore them up on magic maker and phantoms. Very aggressive fish those salties are.
Landed nothing big, but had fun from the shore. the red fish was suppose to be hot then, but i couldnt locate any 20 feet from shore!
it was fun. i couldnd't get a strike on bucktail.

Location: Willoughby, Ohio | Friday I tried a little steelheading, but the river conditions weren't good. I went perch fishing on Erie, Saturday. Needed to stock my freezer. I also won $60 for 3rd place in the perch tourney. Sunday I tinkered with the boat and Monday, I got a fat 38" at West Branch. |

| It's been quite a while since I have been on this or any other muskie boards due to some family issues etc, and last week I conceaded and put the boat into storage.....errrggghhhhh!! I had to decide on either spending time at the cabin getting my bow season going (finally) or spread myself thin and try to fish yet. Ouch..... Oh well, I'll get my esox fix from watching the M/F board and will commit to bow hunting for the rest of the year. It was a very slow start to the muskie year for me anyway.
One good thing this fall though was taking a nice 5x5 bull elk with the smokepole last month....good eaten!! |
