| Does any body know if St Croix, changed the blank on the new sling blade with the 8 oz max rating, vs the older 6 oz models? or is it just the rating.

| Yes, it does, i was just thinking if they actually changed something in the blank, or if it was just the rating, due to them feeling it was underrated to begin with. | |

| As Far as I know they didn't change the Blanks. Just upped the rating to 8oz. I own the new one along with a couple big nastys and a big dawg. the big Nasty is a good bit stiffer than the sling blade. I use top and tail for top water and use sling blade for smaller baits like shadzilla jrs perfect rod for that and small blades...Really a great all purpose rod imo | |
