| So I was planning to do 2 trips in northern wisconsin this year.. I was going to do one in late September and one in late October. I have fished in the vilas area many of times through the years. I was thinking of trying a new place where could I have a shot at a hog 45+. Three lakes, Rhinelander or should I go to the western part of state in the hayward area....I would probably hire a guide because I havent fished these areas before and who would you recommend. |

| This should kind of make it easy for u, check the 2019-2020 fishing reg. book. Find the lakes in the area you would like fish and pay special attention to the lakes with the 50" inch size limit. Kdawg |

Location: Wisconsin | If I were driving to the Northwoods that time of year, the Eagle River chain would be a solid choice for both action and quality fish. Eagle River chain has been producing more quality fish in recent years. And September/October there will be much less pleasure boaters. That would be a nice trip in my opinion |

Not all of us Todd.. I tip well and leave my Bears jersey at home. I like walking without a limp!!
I would book with Ty Sennett myself. Hired him several times and always did well and had a blast.

| The Chippewa Flowage kicks out some big fish in the late fall and is a great looking body of water. It may not hold a world record but it has nice fish. But then, Three Lakes chain also has some nice fish. |

| I was thinking today maybe in late September I'll go to three lakes and give that a try. I was talking to a friend today and he suggested going to phillips . Then in late October I'll go to Hayward. I just need a good guide to use in both places. It seems like there are tons of good places to fish. |

| High Falls/Cauldron Falls on the Peshtigo are worth a trip. Scenery is second to none, especially late Sept. early Oct. If you like rock this is the place. Very, very few places on the water so the shoreline is virtually undeveloped. This also means no places to eat, drink or get gas with Popp's or Pine Acres on High Falls being the exceptions (no fuel).
Cauldron (upstream) is managed for muskie and High is managed for walleye but has a very nice "trickle down" fishery. So much looks good but there's a learning curve and I wouldn't characterize this as "action water". Both bodies have a 50" minimum. Mind your depth as there are some spots your rig is at risk. Did I say there were rocks? |

Location: oswego, il | High Falls is now managed for musky and getting yearly fish. In a few years it will be as good as cauldron. Not sure why it was never stocked directly seems like a no brainer. |

Location: Illinois | Ty Sennett and Pete Rich are both excellent in the Hayward area. The flowage still has some big fish in there. I’ve had several follows there of 4 foot class fish in the late summer early fall (September) |
