Location: Shoreview, MN | Any ideas on patterns during this warming trend. I've been taking a few afternoons off work to fish, and while I've moved a few I don't feel the action's been very good. I've been spending alot of time in shallow weeds fishing spinnerbaits and Jackpots without much to show for it, I've been moving them a bit more on Jakes along the deep weed lines, but that's not really a consistent early post-turnover pattern.
I spoke to fellow MI member who is a very good fisherman and he told me he never does well in the fall during warming trends. His feeling was that the water has to cool back down again.

Location: Kalamazoo, MI | Im in Michigan, and on the lake I fish mostly the warming trend hasnt warmed the water up much at all. It was 52-53 last Sunday. Its about 54-55 now. With the nights still being cool, I think the warm days are pretty much being offset. The dead calm days probably arent helping any, though. Our best luck has been deep water right now. We have been moving a lot of fish just off the deep side of big dropoffs. At night, with the full moon, we've been moving in shallower and casting the topwater baits. Theres been a lot of surface activity once the moon comes out. We were moving a lot more fish before the warming trend, it did seem to get them on the move. But the fish we are moving now are a lot more interested in eating. |

Location: Tomahawk, Wisconsin | Well I have a pattern and it has been a top producer for the last 5 years or so when we have an indian summer warmup such as the one we are in right now. Fish shallow!! Big gliders, suckers, and bulldogs worked in 8 feet or less in the remaining green weeds. The fish are there!! Fatheads too!! The fish are on the deep edge too of course but with the water warming in the shallows the whole food chain is in motion and a foot or two of water can hold fish. Best o luck! |

I thought this lastest warm front and full moon would be the ticket. The fish were moving and I caught good fish when it was cold. But instead of turning into rocket ships and chasing down topwaters and bucktails during the warm up..they slowwwwwwweeeed down. I moved two last night working a 6" reef hawg real slow and the fish were not aggressive. Water temp 58
The warm front is more enjoyable to fish in but I guess I want the cold back.

Location: Kalamazoo, MI | I made that same comment last night; "I think im ready for the cold weather again." Although, that was right after a jet skier made a couple of laps around the lake through all of the weeds and shallows. |

Location: mount prospect illinois | I was out on the Chain last Wed. Great warm outdoors weather but the fishing was slooowww. The lakes were still churned up with some looking like they were on the tail end of turnover. We tried everything. Shallow/ deep/trolling/big/small etc. ....nothing. Saw one guys boat a small one but that was all we saw. |

Location: Washington, PA | I was out last night. I too thought it would be good, turned out to be the slowest day of fishing this year. |

| I went out last night and fished 2 1/2 hours on Okauchee. I had two fish follow a Topraider in the first 15 minutes. I only got a good look at one of them and it was small (under 30"). I caught my biggest musky of the year at 7:50 PM on a Black/White Windel's Harasser with a Glow blade. It was a 43" fattie. It didn't hit hard at all. All of a sudden there was just a heaviness there.I CPRd her and watched her swim away in the moonlight. You can bet I'll be out again this weekend. I've been seeing a lot of fish lately, but just not putting them in the boat.

Location: north central wisconsin | Very slow for handy and I too for a few days. Moved an unbeleivable 29 muskies, including many that just followed suckers. Only 3 hits and all were under 40". |

| I thought the fish were somewhat active yesterday. Had 7 follows on buzzbait, shallow raider, and bucktails--only boated one on the fourth time around on the figure 8. Nothing on suckers at all. All the fish I moved were in less than 8 feet of water and relating to weeds. Gotta love the colors though. |
