Muskie lures sure are getting expensive. Spent 140 on 4 lures and a hat.

Great number of vendors though. We had fun, took the shuttle, parking was a breeze.

Similar thoughts here. Love the show. Every vendor is very friendly. Lots of people willing to talk to you about muskies. Just wish everything wasn’t getting so crazy. I bought 5 lures and spent 160 dollars.

I was there Saturday, no lines at all at any vendor. Cash was flowing well...

I was there from 8am Friday till 9pm that same day. And from 8:30 till 12 Saturday. I couldnt gauge the crowd but things seem steady and folks were buying. No crazy lines for one bait that I saw. Baits are getting expensive and have been but there are still great values to be had. Additionally many guides were in bait company booths more then in past years which was great. They can book trips and you can talk fishing. Paul and his family are running one amazing show and he continues to change it with new vendors and new speakers.

I really wanted a Flap 9 from Lee Lures but I cannot justify $85 for one. Bought a bunch of other cool stuff though. X Toads were cool. Getting 20% off a St. Croix big nasty was my favorite part.

I was only able to make it Friday afternoon, but enjoyed it. Didn't wait long in line shortly after it opened. Ended up spending $100 on 4 lures, two packs of killer tails, a pack of chaos trebles, and a two pack of Stealth spring leaders. Got a reel cleaned, and got a free tube of Abu precision grease for free too. Shimano cleaning booth cut off the line right in front of me for a break so that was a bummer. There was a crazy amount of free back issues of Musky Hunter magazine for the taking there, which was cool. Grabbed a few to see what it was like previously.

Joe's had 20% off reels and free line/spooling, and lots of the other booths had 20% off reels too. Some booths were disappointing for me, but that's my own issue. Most were great and great to talk to.

Next year seriously consider taking the shuttle the midway lot was huge and it was a 5 minute ride by shuttle.

Like Happy Hooker said use the shuttle, was told it worked great. Form a vendors view the crowds were great on Friday, Saturday was a good start but died off(weather was moving in) , Sunday was slow start but picked up(again left over weather issues). Seminars looked to be well attended for the most part. When I had time I walked around and looked like a good mix of vendors. People are friendly and knowledgeable. Paul runs a great show.

Thanks to all that attended!

Wasn't the shuttle service only available this year because of the snow and parking restrictions?

Sounds like it was a slick setup though if they decide to continue service in the coming years.

I have no scientific data to support this and I'm probably wrong but it seemed to me that there were more 10 foot booths this year and not as my 20 or 30 footers, equaling more vendors. I had some sticks in the Beaver's Bait booth and there always seemed to be people walking around, looking, and buying.

I agree with the price of baits but I'm not sure of another fishing market that has so many people that handcraft baits like this market. I remember the first time I stepped foot into the late Todd Cleveland's workshop and witnessed the amount of work that went into making make his bait. I have a great deal of respect for those that handcraft baits.

Even though it was a last minute audible to add the shuttle this year due to the snow, with parking being a pain in general down there I think the shuttle should become a fixture if they can work out a deal with an off site lot in future years. Friday crowds seemed great. Picked up a couple of baits that I can't get elsewhere, but didn't break the bank on anything big. Those castable flies were beautiful, but couldn't justify $80+ on one.

It was a great show as usual.  The spot I usually park every year was closed off for winter parking but I got lucky and found a nice spot on a residential road on the odd numbered side.  When I was leaving on Friday I noticed a lot of cars parked on the oppositie side of the road which was the even numbered side.  Hopefully they did not get tickets for parking on the even side of residential streets.  I bought some girl scout cookies on the way out the door too.
