I replace most of my treble hooks with st 36’s, but I can only find them in 1/0-3/0. What are some good trebles in the larger sizes, up to 6/0?

The chaos black trident hooks are nice. You can order direct from chaos tackle website. Musky tackle online has several brands in larger sizes that are good.

A common topic on this forum. Owner makes tsrong hooks that stay sharp. I don't know about 5/0 but when I look at the VMC's, Gamagatsu and Owners I have the owners are often a bit bigger for same sized hook.

For bigger hooks from 6/0 to 8/0 I use Mustad 3551 hooks. 5/0 and smaller Eagle Claw 774s are nice. Reasonable prices and strong. Have to sharoen them but we're musky fishermen and should be used to sharpening hooks.

unfortunately there is nothing near the quality of the owner stigner in that size.im using mustad 3551 by default,it's not really good but out of the bad one they are the least bad.plasma point from mi are extremely sharp but once you hit a rock or something else they are really hard to sharpen because there is no flat parts. imo the market of high quality trebles is fully open but maybe it's not a market big enough for large investment, because the lures that required trebles that large are mostly musky lures.and musky market is really small.that being said the owner st-36 are wide enough to replace the trebles of an 8 inch believer, which come with no 6/0

Does brad put the plasma points on mag dawgs and mag swimmin dawgs? Or are they an upgrade? I was going to swap my mag swimmin dawg hooks with 3/0 st36’s. The 36’s are just as big gap wise, but they are 1/4”-1/2” shorter on the shank. Not sure how that would effect hook up ratio. I use st36’s on a lot of baits and I really like them.
