Just wanted to share a great customer service experience I had with Musky Mania. Last weekend I purchased a Squirrley Burt from Rollie & Helens. After a few casts, the tail went one direction and the lure went another. Needless to say I was bummed about the defective $14 lure.

I emailed Musky Mania on Monday. Today UPS delivered a brand new lure, two extra tails and a beer can holder.

I wish all companies stood behind their customers like Musky Mania did for me.

Good company, I agree. I wish they sold Disco Mullet wigs, so we could have that only-a-musky-God look when out on the town!

Tee Hee, I am a big fan of Pete.

There are a few (i stress "few") that understand that customer service, such as what dpratt described, is what will keep customers coming back time and time again. Gotta like Musky Mania!

Just a tip on replacing tails on Burts....

In order to get the best action out of your lure make sure that you line up the seam on the tail with the seam on the body of the bait, this will help to ensure the tail has been installed "true/square" and will give you much better action. If you don't have original replacement MMT Burt-Tails you can use a 8" Action Plastics grub and cut it about 6-ribs up from the back of the tail. Carlson's Fishing Glue seems to work about the best but regular ol' super-glue will work in a pinch.

Great Customer Service always Rocks The Pond...:)

A couple of years back, Muskie Mania had a bad batch of clearcoat on their lures. When run, the lures would turn cloudy grey. I sent my defective ones back to them and they replaced them, no questions asked and threw in a can cooler to boot. Good people and a good company.

At various times, I've also had very good experiences with Tuff Shad lures, St Croix and G Loomis.

I had a few 10" Jakes that the bills were falling out on. They sent me what I needed plus a couple extra. Said there was a incorrect glue used on one batch that went through.

What a disappointment. The VERY FIRST CAST of my replacement Squirrley Burt and the tail goes one way, the lure another. Upon further inspection, a piece of plastic from the tail end of the lure actually broke off.

Are these really garbage or is this a coincidence?

Just a quick update - Musky Mania Tackle has taken care of me again. In fact, they've gone over and above any expectations I had.

Kudo's to Pete's tackle company.

I use the squirrely Burts often and have never had that problem.
