Location: The desert | Have a friend taking his family to San Juan Puerto Rico. They are looking at booking a fishing charter for the 5 of them (ages 44-70). They are complete amateurs. They just want to catch a bunch of fish. Their budget is $450. This seems low to me, but don’t let that limit your recommendations.
Anyone have any guides/charters they’ve used down there?

But my wife and I Plus seven kids/ 1 grandson had an awesome 8 days there 3 yrs ago...Stayed right on the Beach on the 12th floor overlooking the Sea... Great weather Sunny, 80-85* a day
Tried about 20 different Rums at 3 different Bars across the street... WOW !
We had a really Great time there. |

Location: Illinois | Magic tarpon is awesome. Fished with them a few times with the wife and kids. Tarpon are in the lagoon year round. |

| About a mile out from San Juan there is a trench which drops off dramatically to the deepest point of the Atlantic. If you are interested, this provides a great opportunity to do some deep sea fishing relatively close in. Jose Campos was the go to guy there for many, many years for this type of fishing. Don't know if he is still active. |

Note that I see he has gotten some very unfavorable reviews in recent years. |
