What is your turnover pattern?

I fish a lake that is deep in one and and shallow on the other, kind of like two different lakes. I will concentrate on the shallow East end while the deeper West end goes through the fall turnover.

If I have to fish the deeper side of the lake I tend to fish deeper breaks. What would your do if you had to fish your lake during turnover?

I'm up on 2 lakes in Vilas Co like you describe. One is a giant weed flat with a few deeper areas, but average depth is about 8 feet. Turnover doesnt effect the fishing as badly as people think, so my early season patterns of smaller baits and live bait rigging works well.

The second lake is attached to the first by a mile long river channel and is completely different.....deep with deep weed edges, lots of rocky terrain, as soon as we hit turnover up there, I'm on deep rocky structure and sudden deep drop-offs. I hit these areas with suckers on Land O Lakes rigs (with the heavy jigs) on slip bobbers and also with deep slow running cranks like Depth Raiders & Baby Depth Raiders, Ernies(large and Little, Deep running Grand Mas and #9 Shad Raps.
