In N WI, its looking like a warm up Thursday/Friday then a sharp drop in temps saturday. Any predictions for how the bite will be? Not sure when the better fishing would possibly be - During the warming trend or the cold front.

Any thoughts?

Its been my experience that a warmup at this time of year kills the fishing like nothing else. If I had to pick, I'd take my chances anyway. But that's just me, I'd rather blank on a nice day than maybe catch a fish on a crap day.

Agree with EA’s first sentence...however I’m not out in the boat in the fall for a haircut, give me 15-20 out of the nw with flurries coming down sideways !

YES-- My experience is the fall Warm up slows the Musky Bite----- Give me that 20-45 degree day anytime over the warmer temps once it gets to OCT. in Wisconsin.. SUCKER TIME !!!

Supposed to rain friday, snow saturday. Looks kinda nasty but I'll be out there regardless.

never know, in general a big warmup might slow the bite but the forecast doesn't look too drastic. I had a 7 fish day solo one day end of Oct in Vilas it was 65 degrees and sunny... I'd try some topwaters over shallow weeds to start... then try off the weed edge with suckers...
