| For me, every trip i make i am guaranteed to be using one of my rod exclusively for either a 9.5 Shadzilla or a 10 inch phantom softail. I may even downside to a 7.5 soft tail or a 8 inch or 9 inch Hell Hound. How about you guys? |

| This year it's been the croc,,the 10 inch and the 8 inch,,,however the 8 has been leaking water so I don't know if that's a common problem or just a single incident. Their a little labor intensive to work and you need just the right torque, but they have great action. |

Location: Waukee, IA | I pretty much always have my homemade glide/rise soft tail on my jerkbait rod. Second place is a regular squirko. 3rd place is 10" phantom soft tail. |

| He'll Hounds are so underrated, i caught my first Muskie on an 8 inch firetiger Hell Hound. How do you work your Hell Hound? There used to be a lure maker in west Virginia who made lures called "Widow Maker" and they remind me so much of Hell Hounds |

| Can't go wrong with a black 9" SUICK. Have one pole dedicated to a SUICK spring, summer and fall. |

| Don't mean to change the subject, but can anyone recommend some baits that have a similar action to reef hawgs and Mr. Pig jerks? |

Location: Athens, Ohio | Jerko / Squirko have similar action to reef hawg, I believe.
BTW, those are 6 in tail baits, above. m |

| sledge but to be honest jerkbait is the type of lure i trust the less. there is too many good things to cast before it |

Location: Tennessee | For glides my go-to for several years has been Anthony’s Hot Tail gliders. I’ve had great success on them vs most others. I usually fish the mini the most |

The croc is more pull then jerk,,don't bend the tail too steep just slightly,,when it hits the water straighten it out and reel it under the surface then quick medium speed pulls if you try to rip it hard it tends to blow out,,it dosent back up and it's not always going to give you a death rise,,I've found its more erratic and more belly flash if you attach it right to your snap and don't use the split ring on bait. This is not a deep running bait at all, and it doesn't figure 8 well you pretty much have to turn it into a bucktail on the 8. |
