The two spring washers, do they go on "cuddling" or opposing? I have a drag that is lurchy when drag is set to appropriate amounts for bass, if it was walleye or less it's smooth

Yeah, not important anymore haha. She dead, I'll need your address soon must have lost something or got oil on the drag, or just went full stupid on it- most likely
