Hey guys, does anyone out there know of a lake/chain in Northern Wisconsin that has tent camping opportunities that has a good population of trophy size Musky and bass? I am familiar w/ the Mani chain, but wanted to see if anyone had other suggestions. I can do rustic state / federal parks , or a resort as long as the tent area is far enough away from large rv’s and their generators . It would be also nice for there to be a bar on lake for lunch and drinks.....Planning on going sept 17-21 in middle of week. Thank you for any suggestions you may have . Tight lines, Dan

Namekagon has nice campground on the north end. Less rustic than the TFF which is pretty much boat in.

I don't know of any rustic campgrounds with a bar on the lake, but my favorites camping spots in Vilas are Big Lake, Upper Gresham, and Star Lake. Indian Mounds on Lake Tomahawk may be just what you're after though, I've driven through the campground and it's very nice, is on a chain, big fish, and I'm pretty sure you can find a bar on Lake Minoqua. Middle of the week it might actually be quiet.
