I am looking at getting into trolling. I have only been fishing muskys for a couple years now but recently i started volunteering as field staff for a Non-profit that gets veterans and law enforcement into the outdoors at no cost to them

I am looking for suggestions on cheap trolling setups as they will be used by members of our group that most likely will have little experience. My thought is i can troll with more guys in my boat comfortably, vs casting. (I really dont want to catch a hook)

Any input on rods/reels/ even planer boards would be great. thank you

7' berkely big game rod, walmart 22 bucks. Okuma magda, bass pro and cabelas have a cheap line counter, diawa does too. Spool it with 80lb braid of 40lb mono.

Surely you mean 20lb mono or 40lb braid?
