Consider one of these instead.
Plastic so the possibility of injury is less, super cheap (like $8 to your door), they float, and the white one glows in the dark. Sweet for controlling a fish in the net and much quicker releases on smaller pike and the like.

Horrible things , they have no place in Pike fishing !
And probably not in Musky fishing either .

Well said, I cringe every time I see a picture of someone holding a big Muskie in a vertical hold with a boga grip.

If used properly they are fine supporting the belly when you hold a fish. The boga is nicer on the fish than the cheaper versions because the head swivels and better for the fish when it tries to gator roll. Do a search on boga grips on this site the pros and cons have been discussed countless times.

Yea wasn’t looking for opinions. I know how to use one safely in the net and it’s for emergency purposes only on my solo trip. They are great tools if you know how to use properly
