| Buy a few smaller Bucktails, brand doesn't really matter, buy 4-5 different colors and different blades, forcus on changing direction mid cast and your figure 8. A prop style topwater would also be good. Alot of us have 200 plus lures but really I would catch the same number of fish with 20 lures. |

Location: Ludington, MI | Buy one black double 8 tinsel spinner, one black and orange mag bulldawg and one Suick or Burt or Sandcat in any color you want, as long as it's black. And then acquire 197 more through begging, borrowing and stealing.

| A Cotton Cordell Redfin in the biggest size will catch muskies almost anywhere, they work particularly well in shad or alewive forage lakes and cost less than $10.00. |

Location: Hayward, WI | For cheap baits Mepps Musky Marabous in both single and double blades are pretty cheap, easy to fish, and work well. I think Suicks are still pretty cheap. Jakes and Depthraiders are around 20 bucks or less.
Up above the question of where are you planning to fish is a good one. The answer to that could change some of the suggestions. |
