| Considering the Drifter XXL net as an upgrade. I believe this net is very close in size to the big kahuna. Those of you that have the net how do you like it?
I also fish solo about90% of the time so reviews of those that use this net solo would be great

Location: NE Ohio | stay away from it if your fishin solo unless your one strong individual! XL size fits the bill and much easier to handle solo. |

| It's a good net, built well but tough to move through the water because of the thick mesh. I'd buy another because I've had plenty of garbage nets. |

| PK I'm not usually moving my net through the water I use the side of the boat for leverage on the net handle and basically put the fish over the net and push down on the handle to lift the hoop/bag. I have heard they are darn big, but I'm hoping for my stle of netting the weight won't be an issue! |

I net the same way as this (solo). It definitely doesn't seem like weight is an issue doing it this way. It also seems like the bigger the hoop the better for this style of netting. |

I don't, but my net and net bag are heavy. To heavy to actually one-hand sweep with the net with no leverage. I am actually not even certain what brand it is. I bought it from a guy at the Wausau swap meet about 3 years ago.
My biggest issue when netting this fashion (by myself) is if, when I go for the push down of the handle, the fish does the straight/stiff thing. Its not that easy (using this method) to get a decent head first scoop. Thats why it seems the larger hoop would be more helpful. |

sounds like a well thought out method and it should work for ya. its one big ar$ hoop on that puppy. good luck. its just not my cup of tea, i like the XL size personally. |

| My thoughts are the big hoop for the fish that goes stiff, I haven't lost any netting solo, but j also haven't netted anything o er 45" while solo.... |

| Have an XXL. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it. The thing absolutely swallows muskies and is like a pen boatside. Took a ton of stress off us when we could just let the fish chill after unhooking.
In the moment, adrenaline has always made handling solo relatively easy. The leverage approach works really well and this net really is big enough for that to work consistently |
