| Ok SO I decided to upgrade electronics. Im going 10 Mega SI at bow and was gonna put 10 chirp G2N at the bow. Well as I am shopping for the 10 chirp G2N I am seeing that I can Buy a 10 DI chirp G2N for the same money. I don't understand this but would think you would be better off getting the DI for resale value down the road. Is there a reason for this I am missing. Want to Link the two 10s up. Just doesn't seem right to me that you can Get DI added to same unit and not cost you anything really |

Location: Elk River, MN | I guess it depends on where you're shopping? Usually it's $200 more for the DI. Or the possibility that it's not the MEGA DI, that could explain it

I was thinking the same thing but shopping at same place and that is way prices are. As I understand thought any G2N can be networked to my Mega at console. Plus any DI is better than no DI. I know I can mirror from console but if you can get the DI Free I say why not just hope Im not missing any thing |

FYI, just know that DI unit cannot be connected to US2 transducers in MK motors. However, CHIRP/GPS and SI/GPS units can be used with US2 transducers.
To use the DI unit at the bow, an external transducer would be used.

So if I buy the DI unit I cant hook to terrova? Or I can hook to terrova but need separate transducer? |

Best bang for the buck is get the chirp for the bow with the high speed transducer. mount both transducers on transom with Y cable and link everything. You'll get high speed at dash while running, SI and DI at slow speeds and have option of all 3 at bow. Many videos on line on how to do this. Bill |

Unfortunately you can't rig the DI to US2, you need an external transducer. DI GPS units get interference when run through the US2 transducer. It has nothing to do with not getting DI, but interference comes on 2D sonar, because of the way they pick up sonar signal.
CHIRP/GPS and SI/GPS units through US2 only.

The Y-cable should be hooked to a high-speed transducer and the MEGA SI/DI transducer at the transom of the boat. If you network the units via ethernet, you can share these views between the units by changing your source source in your network setup menu.
