| I am planning to upgrade my trolling motor from powerdrive to Terrova with ipilot. I am planning to go to Canada fishing in the next 10 days. Can I effectively run the trolling motor,spot lock and heading without installing the heading sensor? I ask because I likely will not have time to install prior to trip. If not, will do all after the trip.

the only thing the heading sensor is used for is the JOG feature on the remote. i've been running mine 2 yrs. now without it and everything but "JOG" works fine. lots of you tube stuff on it also. | |
