Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The entire OFM road crew is elsewhere this weekend, so onsite coverage is not possible. I hope to get back from shooting some video with Pete Maina in time for the final ceremony, but may not make it.
We'll report back what Tim sends us throughout the days.
Today reports of muskies caught are spotty and slow for Eagle River, stand by for more.
The water up here is ridiculously high from the rain last week which may be part of the issue. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The PMTT out of Eagle River, Wisconsin wrapped up day one with fewer muskies than the system usually produces half way through the event. 117 teams registered 22 muskies today under sunny skies, near record high water, and warm temps.
Brian Scheffer and Sam Ubl lead with a 38.5 and a 31.5, and 88 points. Eric and Gavin Burseth are in second just 7 points back with a single 44.25" fish, the big fish today. It's going to be a shootout tomorrow, as the lower number of muskies caught allows anyone in the field with a good day tomorrow to challenge for the win.
Tomorrow looks to be a near copy of today in the North Country, with temps a bit cooler at 74 degrees, and winds ESE at 5 and a max of 8 mph.
Standings attached.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Sam and Brian took home the trophies and $18000.00 with four fish. They fished current seams along shorelines by lake mouths and similar areas, existing this event only beause of the amazingly high water.
The bite was similar today, with 22 more fish registered for a total of 44.
