How did you fare out muskie fishing last weekend? I worked Saturday, and fished with Keith Sunday from 10 AM until the really bad weather hit. We saw 7 and caught one, 2 of the others really tried to hit a Wade's Wobbler or a Suick, and missed. Water temps were 64 to 65.

Had our musky club outing on Sat.  Only 8 people fished and one fish was boated.  I got a 36"er.  My wife raised a nice one on a topraider and we saw a couple other in high thirties that wouldn't hit.  Went north today and hooked 8 fish but only caught four, all on surface, 3 within 20-30 casts.  Biggest were 40 and 41.5".  Lost one nice one on an h20 Nitro as well.

I managed to boat a 46 incher out of Midland Bay on a Trolled Renny Bait after dark at about 10 30 pm. It was awesome we marked the fish on the Sonar then a few seconds later it smoked the bait. Awesome! We had a chance at another nice sized fish pushing 50 inches I would say and also lost a low 40 inch range fish. All and all not a bad weekend on the G Bay. There was a B.A.S.S. Qualifier out of Midland this weekend so there was Bass Boats everywhere I heard they hooked into a few nice Muskies too and one guy caught a 55 incher on a Bass Spinner Bait. Go Figure!

I'm a weekend fisherman and caught muskies the last three weekends in a row. This weekend I only got a dinky 30" and lost a upper 30's at the boat. But I'm starting to get real confident, alot because of info I get on this site and other information places like it. It's been a great year.

Fished Palmer/Tenderfoot (Vilas Co) Saturday-Monday. Water temps were 61-62ยบ. Fishing was better than expected. My brother and I boated 2 on Saturday, 32" & 38". I landed a 45" monday morning. I also caught a 6 lb. large mouth on a jig and crawler.

There are 2 factors that are making these 2 lakes very very difficult to fish right now. Palmer is almost "Gin" clear. I have never seen the water this clear in my 16 years of fishing it. I havent seen muscles on my pier or rusty cray in my bay, so I have no clue as to why. Low light bite.

Second, Tenderfoot is beginning to turn over...no doubt, weed edges that where once visible are gone with lots of dead weeds on the surface.

Did a long day on the water with the youngest Hulbert, we moved 14 by our count, all but 2 over 40", with at least one 46" getting pretty squirrley looking at an HR, but she wouldnt eat. Mike did pop a little 26" on a baby shaker, nice spots.

Saw 4 with Mike Hoen on Saturday. Sunday back around home saw another 3, and lost a solid 40" at boatside that was snout hooked. Out of 7 fish seen, 5 were on the new Mepps Musky Marabou including the one I lost. The other two were on jigs.

Just got back from the northwoods. I was trying to put my buddies on some fish, and they were somewhat cooperative. On Sat, we raised 6 fish, one was a real pig. No takers though. Sunday, we started the morning with 2 fish in the boat, a real skinny 39, and a 32, with one other in the upper 30s getting off at the boat. That afternoon, we fished one of my favorite lakes up there for big topwater fish, and we stuck a fat 49"er on hair. It was the biggest the 2 guys in the boat with me will ever see. They were super excited. (My buddy Vince caught the fish) I will post pics when I get them. I stopped at Pewaukee on the way home yesterday, and stuck a 32" pike and a little 29" 'ski. All in all, a pretty good trip.
Good lungen,

trolled for about 20 minutes with the kids when the panfishing was slow. My 6 year old netted this nice 38 incher. Fun day with the kids...

We fished all day Sat and only saw 2. We trolled for about 3 hours running mostly SS Raps across the flats and off the weed edges. White hair and gliders seemed to be the right call but did not produce for us. Slamr, ToddM, and Ralphie saw and caught fish Sat with a similar approach. I guess we weren't wiggling our worm correctly. Beautiful day on the water though. Maybe next time...
