Are any of you guys having much luck throwing these types of bucktails?
I am thinking about making some myself. Is there a general rule as to which blade is normally the front or first blade - the smaller or larger of the two? How do most store bought bucktails come when there are different sized blades involved? Any help with this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
TR

The larger blade should be the thickest. For example, #9 blade = .025 and
#10 blade = .040. The #9 blade would be in front.

I've had several guys ask for them over the last couple of years. There are several options, can either get the blades all same thickness or different and variations in sizes. For the first blade, depends on the weight, but doesn't really matter too much because they rotate opposite of each other. I'll be working on posting a video of underwater of a couple of these soon....

Big Tooth Sound Science are exactly that with different types of blades as well, and they produced very well last year.

I have made several combinations. I put the bigger blade first, i don't know if it makes a difference to try it the other way. So far the only blade that doesn't work, to he honest it doesn't work as a single and very poor as a double it's the very thin flat round colorado. I have not found what that blade works best for, it is inconsistent as a spinnerbait blade.

I have some like described above. They werk great as little trays to hold beads & clevises during assembly.
I think Worth made the ones i have.

The best I have used so far are the new Apaches. They have a Colorado and Indiana blade on them. They have a custom clevis that is one piece so they start right away and spin awesome. I know Jason Hamernick and Luke Ronnestrand were using them last season and crushed the fish on them!

So would I be correct to put the larger blade first, if the only difference between the two is the size?
What would happen if I added a mini blade out in front of a #8 (out front) followed by a #7 combo ?
Thanks,

The higher lift blade is in back so they bang into each other making noise.
