I’ve got a quantum exo 300 pt how big of blades can I throw without ruining the reel the gear ratio is 7:3:1

i don't know the reel but i have never seen a good quantum reel for big blades.you gear ration is really high so my guess would be regular 8 max

this reel is best for smaller stuff, you could throw double 9's but you'll feel it
you won't wreck the reel, try it and it will let you know

I have an exo 300 in 6:3:1 I use for large bass cranks and jigging striper. I can't imagine a 7:3:1 will pull 8s easily even. I have Lews reels in 6:3:1 that pull bass spinnerbaits easier than the exo. I do like the exo tho. Been solid a full year.
