Greetings,

I have a 10 year old Dual Pro Pro series(15A X 3) with a failed bank. I did some research, and talked to Dual Pro, and am told my charger is past the tmeframe of repairability, which is understandable. Sans replacing with another 3 bank(the other 2 banks are fine), I am considering adding a single bank stand alone, though weight/space considerations in my Ranger tiller are a concern. I was wondering if anyone here knows of a shop that could repair or replace one bank in this charger. Again, I'm not looking for diagnosis suggestions or alternative charging solutions. I would be willing to send this somewhere to have this bank replaced if the price or trade is right. Feel free to email or call/text me with suggestions if you don't want to respond here.

Thanks in advance,

Jason Schillinger

Anything that attaches to a boat and lasts 10 years has paid for itself IMO. I would suggest a new charger, drilling another single bank charger into the boat seems silly. Like trolling motors, tires, axles, hubs, outboards, electronics, compartments, etc. all parts on a boat eventually wear out. With a Ranger hull you still have decades left of life. My Dual Pro went 17 years before I traded in the boat. I’m having a new Dual Pro put on my new boat.

Are you sure it's the actual bank and not cables? DualPro offers "extension cables" and I had to replace all mine. Instead of buying an all new charger I replaced the cables and all is good..

I cannot imagine replacing a bank in a existing charger being cost effective. Labor alone would be a few hundred dollars, which right there puts you in the range of a new charger. Like mentioned above, it’s already paid for itself so I’d get a new one and be happy. If one bank went dead and you went through all the trouble to fix it, the others may not be far behind and your right back where u started. At least if something happens on a new charger you have a warrenty
