| Rough observations for me are that s m bass drop out of tributaries into larger bodies of water, particularly the larger fish. Larger suckers seem to do the same, as do walleyes. Smaller fish, under 1 lb. seem to stay up in the tributaries, perhaps to take advantage of feeding opportunities that arise during warming spells in the smaller flows. Things like chubs, shiners of various ilks, stay in the tributaries also, but pool up. On sunny days from 10-3 I find bait up in the eddies right in the current so am guessing that feeding is going on during this time, has to be a positive energy equation to keep them in these areas. | |
