Location: MN | Anyone have a source for the nostril clip (or something similar) that comes in the Shumway Clip-N-Go rigs?
Anyone successfully made them? I saw the recent MH article by Greg Thomas where he described making them from single strand wire from AFW - seems reasonable, but anyone with first hand experience? |

Location: Madtown, WI | yeah, very easy to make these. I use standard bucktail wire and a jeweler pliers. It might take you a couple attempts to get the lengths just right but a little trial and error and you'll be in business.
AFW would probably work fine (can't argue with GT) but I'd worry about the sucker coming off in weeds or when you lift it out of the water. I build them just like the shumway rigs, works great. |

Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | Nose clips are available from Rollie and Helens. I've made my own out of paper clips and a needle nose pliers. They work well as long as you don't attempt to lift large suckers out of the water without some assist from your hand. |

Location: MN | Thanks for the tips! I'll probably make them out of bucktail wire then - have some unusable short pieces sitting around anyway. Comparing with a Shumway rig, the material looks very close.
I could not find any clips at the R&H website. What are they under? |

| Bucktail wire would be my first choice also. Good use for trimmings |

I saw them in the store-- probably made in house. Try giving them a call. |

| They are in the R&H catalog, by the leaders and other terminal tackle. |

Location: MN | Hmm... it must have slipped through the cracks getting onto the website, or maybe I just can't operate the internet. In any case, will check it out in paper in a few days. |

Location: South Elgin | Again no it isn't. The original post is looking for the clips only..not the rigs Shumway make. Now your 2018 catalog might be different than mine, but mine is sans clips only. |

My mistake, I thought the OP was looking for the rig but you are correct, he only wants the clip. |
