Just bought an avet mxj and wondering how i should spool it. Im using it for bucktails only. Holds 470 yards of 50lb braid which is insane obviously i want to back it with mono but any recommendations on what pound mono backing and braid to use? 2/3 mono 1/3 braid? 1/3 mono 2/3 braid?

I used twent pound mono cause that's what I had in my garage. Works great.
Don't fill the spool right up - leave some room so that it won't jam up if u don't spread the line on evenly on a retrieve, seeing as your finger is the line guide.

I but app, 100 yards of line on the reel, and then fill it to the point i want with mono, and then switch it around afterwards.
My Avet Sx isn't filled all the way, due to Landry's point.
