Location: Niagara on the Lake, ON | Im not asking for anyone to reveal secret spots or anything but its no secret that certain lakes are awesome for musky fishing.
There are a lot of spots I havent fished and want to but for me, I love Eagle Lake and Lac Seul. I think Seul might edge out Eagle just simply because of having less pressure. I love the clear strain of the fish too which is found at Seul. Both are amazing yet different so its really a toss up.
I found it easier to hook into big pike and even walleye at Seul but that just coulda been the week I was on that water and nothing else. Both are paradises for musky anglers! |

Location: St. Lawrence River | The Big Empty.... lots of water to explore, you can go from a zero to a hero in seconds. Legit shot at a 55+ any time your bait is wet. And its my home water of course. |

| My favorite lake is Baby in longville,,it's hard to catch a fish bigger then 45 but it's a pretty lake that the shoreline isn't torn up. |

God get me out on the water I can't take much more non winter non spring

How much are you up there? That is my home water where I cut my teeth on these fish in the late 70's

| So many ... hard to pick one but Vermillion would be my choice. While success can be hard to come by on some days it's my choice based on the following
1. You have incredible options between the East and West side of the lake.
2. Opportunity for 50" fish
3. You can always take a break from muskies and fish walleye or smallies
4. Scenery
5. Within 4 hours |

| I'm only an hour and a half from Miltona and have never bothered with it. While there are some fish in there, from what I've heard from locals is that it's a tough lake to fish and gets a lot of pressure. I've never heard of Miltona being in the top 5, much less best lake in the state. Unless something has changed there, I'm pretty unconvinced. |

I have seen 4 musky shows filmed on miltona last fall. That should say something about it.

Best lake in the state for what? Definitely not for big fish. My vote is Vermilion and there is not even a close second.

High numbers body of water with every type of habitat you could think of. Sandy flats? check. Heavy current? check. Calm weedy bays? check. Depths from 1 ft to 30ft. There's a few 50's roaming about too. Best of all for me, from house to public launch is 10 minutes. |

Ive never ever heard anyone refer to the Niagara as a numbers water. By best in one day was 3 and that was rare. I think I need to fish with you. Im doing it wrong... |

My first musky trip was at Nielsen's in 1991 at 9yrs old. No muskies landed, but saw a few over 30 pounds and that was all it took. I did catch a 40lbs snapping turtle with a chunk of clam and big 7/0 hook. Dad loved unhooking that. got the entire thing on film for you naysayers. Don also gave me a brown and gold suick that I keep hung up in my office to this day.
The lake is beautiful, unpressed, and is a diverse system. Crystal clear water, deep weeds, deep rocks, lakers, walleye, pike and giant musky.
It was my best childhood memory. Named my son Rowan (3) and hope to relive that experience with him when he is older. |
