Location: Iowa | Just looking for some input here. What line do you prefer to use for trolling crankbaits up to 13" and smaller, and why do you use the line you do? Thanks in advance! |

Location: oswego, il | I use flourocarbon line. It's very abrasion resistant and has good shock value. It's also planer board friendly. I like 20 and 30lb. |

| I've been using 30# Berkley Big Game Mono, with a 3' leader of 50# Seguar Flouro. Use good ball bearing swivel and snap on either end of the leader. I use Gander Guide Series Dipsey Diver rods, with Shakespeare Tidewater LC's and Diawa Accudepth 47 LC's. I've had fish up to 48" in my boat on this setup, with out problems. I did have one fish this year roll up and cut the mono and get away.
I know some will say the reels are not strong enough for big muskies, but the waters I troll don't have the huge fish like out by Trophy Muskie. If I fished those waters alot, I would probably go with much heavier equipment. |

Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | I use 100 pound Power Pro. When trolling stump fields like on Cave Run or Hudson in Michigan this stuff really holds up.
Trolling at high speeds, drilling a stump, and never had my line break.
100 pound power pro is my favorite.

Location: Illinois-Indiana | I use Cortland 80# Spectron, great line and never had a failure.
I troll a little lake that has stumps and fish cribs everywhere, I'm constantly hooking a stump or something and never had my line break. |

Location: Kawartha Lakes, Ontario | 80 lb. Power Pro and a rod with a soft glass tip and decent backbone. I use 4 foot black sevenstrand ss leaders to protect against teeth and rocks. 150lb ball bearing swivel and cross-lock snap. I have only lost one fish on this setup in the last 2 years. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is my theory when it comes to fishing methods and techniques. |

Location: Iowa | Thanks guys. I've only used super lines, so far and just wanted to see what everyone else does. I think I'll stick with the 100# Power Pro, you can just break off the tree branches when you get snagged up in them. |
