Thanks bud! I'm very intrigued, I'll have to see if I can find one to check out. The show in my area is always scheduled around the same time I leave town for a work conference...

Interesting to hear. That would be a good price for a big rubber chucker. Anybody know if they will offer just the blank for sale? I like the sounds of the rod but the 20 inch handle might be too long for me. Being able to extend that blank a little could be pretty neat as well.

18 inch handle you say? The article states 20. 18 makes it more appealing. I'd still like to be able to extend the blank out a few inches if they do sell the blanks.
Did anyone handle this rod? Is it very heavy or not too bad?

I personally like the longer butts on rods, especially if I am going to be casting 8oz or more.
It is nice to see St. Croix putting a longer butt on a rod designed to cast pounders, the 14in butts on their other rods just don't give me the nice lever to perform a good two handed cast.
Hopefully, St. Croix makes an XH Mojo Cat with a 20in butt.

Very heavy but considering it's a Premier and designed for big rubber, it is what it is.
