Location: Cheyenne, WY most of the year | I'm specifically thinking of using my 8' Heavy/Revo Toro S 50/65lb braid as a flipping/punching setup for bass. I know the reel only has a 5.3:1 and most guys are in the high 7:1 but I really don't want to spend the money on that at the moment.
What if any are you also doing? |

| What IPT are they getting from the small reels? your S might be as fast as theirs despite of the lower gear ratio. |

| My Tackle Industries 9ft XXH rods get used for flathead catfish. They load up really well when fishing with circle hooks.
The TI 9ft MH gets used any time I go saltwater fishing. It has caught and landed everything from snook to shark. |

| If conditions were perfect and on a perfect day I would use some rods lures and reels for bass. But don’t plan ahead for trophy fishing very well. |

Location: Moses Lake, WA | I use my TI xxxh 9' rod for jigging halibut up in Alaska. Works like a charm, has taken fish to 120 pounds, loads up nice. |

Location: Land of the Musky | For the Tackle Industries rods, we have a ton of ppl using them for sharks, catfish, stripers, Florida Alligators (up to 900lbs so far...), halibut and a lot for Snook fishing too. This actually started a whole new line of rods for our Vexan rods called the Vexan Inshore BIG GAME series. I am surprised how many non-musky fishermen actively look for "musky" rods for fishing. You would think these other markets would have a lot of available rods but they have nothing like musky rods available. Good for all of us musky rod manufacturers

Location: Apparently where the Muskie aren't | I know it's overkill but I use mine when jigging for lake trout. Actually caught a laker on it before I caught a muskie. |

| Caught this with the 9ft Tackle Industries MH 2-piece paired with a Komodo 471SS.
The rod has to be one of the best all purpose travel ready rods I have ever used when it comes to versatility and strength.

| Heck yeah! Got to get the hook out and get a quick pic.
The Atlantic roughtail rays not only get massive, but run very hard too, definitely fun to catch which is why you would try to catch one. In this case, the sting ray was purposely caught and the species was actually the species I was trying to catch.
Good fun when you want cheap drag smoking runs and an end game that puts your stamina to the test.

Definitely, the rays make some of the best shark bait available, though bonito and mackerel are right up there. Though a sting ray of that size deserves to go back to the water.
Any rod (especially a two piece rod MH power rod like what I was using) that can help put the brakes on a ray that size and pull it from the bottom once it becomes tired, after peeling a 100yds of line off your reel a couple times, has truly demonstrated its strength.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Conversely, watch close for the new Vexan Inshore rods as the casting rods are introduced. KILLER design, very light, and several will match up as muskie gear for me. I got a new Vexan Inshore MH 8' for my 2018 creature outfit, the first rod built as if it was my personal Creature fishing preference since the prototype Okuma about 10 years back. |

On a more serious note...the predator mh is a very nice big pike rod (although the loomis steele 15 was even better...god I miss that blank!) |
