Do you want to make like double 10's or other size bucktails ?
If so, first, you need to pick up a bucktail twister from Dubro or something you like similar, or round nose pliers ( get the knipex, trust me ) to make the loops. I have both, and am still getting used to using the bucktail twister. I have always done the loops by hand for years. A nice pair of side cutters found at your hardware store is nice to have also. Split rings pliers is also a must along with a heat gun if you want to shrink wrap your hooks. Needle nose pliers if you want to make by hand is important also.
Once you have the the basic tools down, then you need to decide if you want tie your own flashabou / hair / marabou which is a whole other animal. I cannot help much there as I suck doing that so I have other's help me with that part.
Otherwise, In general, I get everything I need from Moore's Lures a far as wire / split rings / bodies / beads / clevices / hooks/ weights.
Let me know if I can be of any additional help. Good Luck.
